Benicar Information
Olmesartan (Benicar) is an effective angiotensin II receptor antagonist which is able to prevent the patient’s blood vessels from narrowing. In this way, the use of this drug improves the blood flow and lowers the patient’s blood pressure.

Benicar Indications

Individuals who are suffering from high blood pressure are commonly prescribed treatment trials with angiotensin II receptor antagonists (including Benicar). In some cases, the patient is administered a complex therapy that involves a combination between Olmesartan and other blood pressure remedies.

Benicar Warnings

Pregnant females are not allowed to use Benicar without the approval of a well trained gynecologist, as the therapy with this drug may severely affect the development of the fetus. A female patient should use an efficient birth control method during her therapy with this drug. The use of alcoholic beverages should be avoided during one’s therapy with this medicine. Individuals who are allergic to Olmesartan must not start using Benicar. The presence of other medical disorders may also prevent a certain individual from being allowed to use this medicine. Such conditions include: dehydration, congestive heart failure, liver disease, kidney disease, and so on.

Benicar Intake Guidelines

When your personal physician prescribes you a treatment trial with this clinical remedy (Benicar), he or she will present you a set of instructions that you should follow during your future intake of this product. You should pay great attention to your doctor’s explanations in order to avoid any confusion. If you have further questions regarding your therapy with this drug you should not hesitate to ask for further help. Other individuals who may assist you regarding your therapy with this medicine (Benicar) include nurses, pharmacists and other physicians. You will also find further detailed information in your medicine’s leaflet.

Olmesartan (Benicar) has been designed in a special way that enables the patient to use his or her dose of this medicine whenever he pleases, either before or after their main meals (as the intake of this drug does not trigger the symptoms of an upset stomach). Individuals who are using this drug on a regular basis should always check their blood pressure levels (in order to make sure that their therapy is working as planned). You are not allowed to stop your current intake of this remedy (Benicar) even if you already feel better.

Benicar Dosage

The only person who is qualified to prescribe you an adequate dosage of Benicar and an appropriate dosing schedule for your future intake of this medicine is your PD. You must always keep in mind that the dose that is prescribed to a certain individual depends on several factors: the patient’s age, sex, general health condition, clinical history, and so on. For this reason, you must not be surprised if you discover that other individuals are using different doses of this clinical remedy. If you feel that your therapy with Benicar is not working properly you should seek your physician’s assistance.

Benicar Overdose

Physicians emphasize on the fact that overdoses with this medicine (Benicar) commonly occur due to the intake of extra doses of this drug which are taken in by patients who intend to compensate for a previous missed dose of Olmesartan. These doses are generally taken in without the approval of the individual’s physician (in most cases, without the approval of any health care provider) increasing the patient’s chances of developing some of the most severe side effects of this medicine. Among the most common clinical manifestations that have been associated with such clinical cases are: dizziness, abnormally slow heartbeat, feeling like you are about to loose consciousness, and so on. Individuals who are in such a clinical condition (Benicar over-dosage) should receive adequate medical attention at once.

Benicar Missed Dose

A missed dose of Benicar may interfere with the effectiveness of your therapy with this medical remedy. When your personal health care provider prescribes you to use this medicine regularly, he or she will also teach you what to do in case you forget or are unable to take a dose of this medicine at its due time. You should not disobey your PD’s advice regarding this matter. It is strictly forbidden to use extra doses of this medicine (Benicar) without the direct approval of your personal physician.

Benicar Side Effects

A therapy with this medicine is known to trigger a set of adverse manifestations, especially if the individual uses his or her prescribed doses of Benicar improperly (any unwanted disturbance of the patient’s therapy trial will affect the beneficial results that the treatment should have provided the individual with; such factors may also affect the way in which the patient’s organism responds to the therapy). One of the most severe types of medical symptoms that may arise during a therapy with this drug includes clinical manifestations of an allergic reaction to one or more of Benicar’s main components. Other clinical manifestations that have been associated with the use of this medical remedy include: difficult urination, pain during urination, fast heart beat, chest pain, swollen feet and / or hands, back pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and so on. If you develop any of these unwanted clinical signs, please notice your PD.

Benicar Drug Reactions

Before an individual is allowed to take his or her first dose of Olmesartan (Benicar) of their future treatment trial, they should inform their personal health care provider whether he or she is using any other medical products (especially water pills / diuretics). Such medicines are known to harmfully interfere with the beneficial effects that your therapy with Olmesartan should provide you with. No individual may use any other medication available on the market without the approval of a well trained health care provider who is familiar with the patient’s medical status and clinical history.

Warfarin
(also known by the brand names Coumadin, Jantoven, Marevan, Uniwarfin) is an anticoagulant normally used in the prevention of thrombosis and thromboembolism, the formation of blood clots in the blood vessels and their migration elsewhere in the body, respectively. It was initially introduced in 1948 as a pesticide against rats and mice, and is still used for this purpose, although more potent poisons such as brodifacoum have since been developed. In the early 1950s, warfarin was found to be effective and relatively safe for preventing thrombosis and thromboembolism in many disorders. It was approved for use as a medication in 1954, and has remained popular ever since. Warfarin is the most widely prescribed oral anticoagulant drug in North America.

fast-escrow-refills-code

Despite its effectiveness, treatment with warfarin has several shortcomings. Many commonly used medications interact with warfarin, as do some foods (particularly leaf vegetable foods or “greens,” since these typically contain large amounts of vitamin K1) and its activity has to be monitored by blood testing for the international normalized ratio (INR) to ensure an adequate yet safe dose is taken.[4] A high INR predisposes patients to an increased risk of bleeding, while an INR below the therapeutic target indicates the dose of warfarin is insufficient to protect against thromboembolic events.

Warfarin and related 4-hydroxycoumarin-containing molecules decrease blood coagulation by inhibiting vitamin K epoxide reductase, an enzyme that recycles oxidized vitamin K1 to its reduced form after it has participated in the carboxylation of several blood coagulation proteins, mainly prothrombin and factor VII. Despite being labeled a vitamin K antagonist,[4] warfarin does not antagonize the action of vitamin K1, but rather antagonizes vitamin K1 recycling, depleting active vitamin K1.[5] Thus, the pharmacologic action may always be reversed by fresh vitamin K1. When administered, these drugs do not anticoagulate blood immediately. Instead, onset of their effect requires about two to three days before remaining active clotting factors have had time to naturally disappear in metabolism, and the duration of action of a single dose of warfarin is 2 to 5 days. Reversal of warfarin’s effect by discontinuing its use, or by administering vitamin K1, requires a similar period of time.
